Thomas and Cathy's bed and breakfast for walkers, skiers and general visitors to the beautiful Ariege Pyrenees region of France.
Our house, built in 1780, is situated in the picturesque village of Fougax et Barrineuf in the French Pyrenees. The village is the perfect base for exploring the Cathar castles of Montségur, Puivert, Roquefixade and Peyrepertuse. It is a walkers paradise, with trails to suit every ability - from low-level nature walks, to high mountain ridges and peaks.
Our aim is to provide a comfortable, friendly environment in which to enjoy your holiday, be it a 2 day short break or 2 week stay.
As walkers ourselves, we try to include those services which are difficult to find and which can waste much precious holiday time. Thus we offer good breakfasts, packed lunches on request, and table d’hote service as well as washing machine and ironing facilities. We have WiFi broadband internet access at no extra charge.
We can also provide walking guides for various local walks that we recommend and (by prior arrangement), chauffeur services to and from walks. You are also welcome to join us on any walks we have planned.

THE ROOMS
We have three rooms available – two doubles and a larger room with two twin beds that can also accommodate a third person. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink and the large double also has a bath. There are tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers in all rooms Top

THE TABLE
We offer good quality french cuisine, taken with ourselves, which have proved very popular with guests: 4 courses, wine and coffee or tea - 22 euros/person. Top

COMFORT & SERVICES
We offer clean, comfortable rooms in an old (1796) village house. There is a south-facing terrase and a beautiful, quiet garden 5 minutes from the house, banking onto the River L'Hers with fabulous views of Montsegur Castle and the mountains. Top
