HOME
La Rabassière is a comfortable family home in the centre of Provence, set in open counryside with magnificent views.
For much of the year the hosts live outdoors, but there are two sitting rooms with a grand piano in tune, dining room, library and large sunny kitchen.
The three acres of south facing terraced gardens are mostly given over to olive trees, but there is a tennis court, 12x6m pool, croquet lawn and boules.
Arles, Avignon, St Remy, Aix and Marseille are all between 30 and 45 minutes away, as are the Camargue and the Luberon.
The local golf course is excellent and is about 5km from the house.

THE ROOMS
We accommodate guests with a degree of physical handicap, and can offer rooms on the ground floor with direct access to the terrace and garden.. However pets are not acceptable in the house and smoking strongly discouraged. Top

THE TABLE
Evening meals can be provided - and cooking lessons too if you are interested; we all eat together and dinner is a very special moment; not just for eating and drinking but also to discuss the experiences of the day and plans for tomorrow. However there are also good local restaurants within a quarter of an hours drive.
The home team is made up of Michael Frost, who is English, but has spent about half his adult life in France, and is a very keen Provençal cook, and Thevi who comes from Singapore. Top

La Rabassière is a comfortable, well equipped family B&B (bed and breakfast, homestay, lodge) at the very centre of Provence in the South of France. We are in easy reach of Aix, Arles, Avignon, Marseille and the Luberon, the Camargue, and the Alpilles. Sporting activities at the house or close by include tennis, sailing, the sea, golf and trekking. We love having visitors and enjoy the challenge of making your holiday a happy one. Top

We have a mild Mediterranean climate with 30 hours of sunshine a year. In summer it can be quite hot, and all our rooms are air conditioned. In winter there is the occasional frost, but bothe the dining room and the drawing room have open fires Top
