THE ROOMS
Room Manon : A large bedroom of 35 square metres, distinguished by the very high quality of its comfort and decor, equipped with a double bed, bedside tables, a large wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a desk with high-speed Internet access via wifi network, a relaxing armchair and sofa in a little reading area with a coffee table. A television set with many French and foreign tv and radio channels, a fridge and all you need to make yourself a cup of coffee, tea or other hot drink, a mini-safe and an iron and ironing board. A comfortable bathroom with jacuzzi and equipped with twin basins set in a range of fitted bathroom cabinets with an integral mirror illuminated by spotlights. A hairdrier is provided. A private wc.
Room Fanny : A very attractive bedroom, of 20 square metres, equipped with twin beds, bedside tables, a large wardrobe, a desk with high-speed internet access via wifi network. An adjoining en-suite bathroom equipped with twin basins set in a range of fitted bathroom cabinets above and below, with an illuminated, integral mirror and a walk-in shower. A separate and private wc. A television set with many French and foreign tv and radio channels is available in the communal living room on the ground floor.
Room Cottage : A very comfortable bedroom, of 28 square metres, beautifully decorated and equipped with a double bed, two bedside tables, a large wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a desk with high-speed Internet access via wifi network, a mini-safe and an iron and ironing board. A second bed/settee, suitable for one person, can also be used as a corner in which to relax or read, with a coffee table, an easy chair and all you need to make yourself a cup of coffee, tea or other warm drink. Adjoining the bedroom there is a bathroom with jacuzzi, plus twin basins set in a range of fitted bathroom cabinets with an integral mirror illuminated by spotlights. A hairdrier is provided. A separate, private wc. A television set with many French and foreign tv and radio channels is available in the communal living room on the ground floor.
Gite : Accommodation designed for 4 or 6 people comprising a sitting room with tv corner, a dining area, a kitchenette, two bedrooms and bathrooms, each with wc. Full access to the swimming pool and an open-air dining area in a landscaped courtyard. This is very comfortable accommodation suitable for a medium or long stay, with washing machine and drier, cooking hob, fridge, mini-oven and microwave oven, electric coffee maker, iron and ironing board and a television set with many French and foreign tv and radio channels. All this is complimented by two lovely bedrooms, one of which has twin single beds, the other a double bed and an extra single bed ; each room furnished with bedside tables, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk with high-speed Internet access via wifi network and a mini-safe. Adjoining each bedroom there is a separate wc and bathroom, one with jacuzzi bath, the other with a walk-in shower. Canoe/Kayak : Mansle canoe base.
Travel across the Ruffecois countryside for 90Km from Taize-Aizie to Vars. The Charente branches into numerous streams and backwaters around hundreds of islands. Keeps, castles, country homes, mills, fish-farms, lime furnaces, leisure areas, holiday homes are all dotted along the river.

On foot, by bike or on horseback : The Manche-Pyrenees long, hiking track crosses the Ruffecois countryside from east to west. Le tour de l’Angoumois runs through the south of Ruffecois. The short walking paths described in the form of topo-guides, are available at the Tourist Office. The variety of suggested paths go through forests and valleys, discovering local traditions, villages and the inhabitants of the countryside, fulfilling all your wishes.
For strolling : an evening market, Fuchsia exhibition. Visit the botanical park.

The ecomuseum of cognac at Migron, guided visit by the wine-grower of the area, a museum which recreates the life of a wine-grower in the 19th century, the distillery and the wine caves.
