Demeure ancestrale dont les origines remontent avant le xviiième siècle par l’édification du «Pavillon de chasse » puis du château au xixème siècle sous Napoléon iii, propriété de la famille Champy, la plus ancienne maison de vin de Bourgogne et de ses héritiers successifs.
Suite à son acquisition, d'importants investissements, beaucoup de courage, d’efforts physiques, de volonté et de passion ont été nécessaires et furent déployés dans cette titanesque entreprise de rénovation. Réfection d'une grande partie de la toiture, installation du chauffage central, climatisation, sanitaires, électricité, remise en état des magnifiques parquets, décoration en trompe l'œil, sauvegarde sur le perron du château d'une jolie marquise attribuée à Gustave Eiffel.
Et pour l'agrément total de l'endroit, une piscine créée dans une clairière où le soleil étend largement ses rayons, accueillant la baignade et ses baigneurs autant que les amateurs de bains de soleil. Aujourd'hui le château retrouve enfin une vie, la récompense est là, visible et satisfaisante… Bien des défis restent à venir, et autant d’amoureux des vieilles pierres à accueillir. Unfenced private garden in grounds. Garage. Firewood: 35 €/stere (cubic metre). Additional deposit : 75 e/pet. Cleaning done at end of stay for additional charge. Tourist tax : 1. 5€/ day / pers. Nearby: Beaune with its famous Hospices, vineyards (guided tours with commented tastings).
