Between Tréguier and Paimpol, Côtes d'Armor, Coat Gueno is ideally located for a sightseeing holiday in Brittany. At only a short distance from La Roche-Jagu Castle, Bréhat Island, or the Seven Islands' sea bird sanctuary, this 15th century manor house is in the midst of a peaceful countryside but close however to the coastline and its many beaches. Three double bedrooms are offered label < Fleurs de Soleil >. All are beautifully decorated and furnished with antic furniture and all have private entrance and private bathroom with modern sanitary arrangements. Two rooms offer the possibility of adding an adjacent room or suite for children or friends who share the same bathroom. A lounge (open fireplace, American billiard, book-shelf, music and tv), a swimming pool (27°C), garden furniture, play-room and parking places are available for our hosts.< Table d'hôtes > with sea food dinner in a typical Brittany style room is served on demand. Breakfast with many local specialities (crepes, far, kouign amann.) is enjoyed in the < Salle Bretonne >. .  Top

THE ROOMS
The rooms receive 150 tv channels with among them the major foreign channels. We take care to provide our hosts with fresh fruit and a choice of tea, coffee and herb teas. Ty Bihan, small house in Breton, is a large 25m2 room, with fire place. This allows one to go to sleep at night with the glimmering of a wood fire in an old farm manor ambiance created by the Breton furniture with however a comfortable bed (Queen Size). A Tregor style door lined with an outside door and windows with indoor wood shutters A short corridor leads to the bathroom and toilet. The sanitary equipment is sand coloured with deep blue tiles and a window opens on the swimming pool. Individual electric heating. Complete the old style appearance of the building. Le Rouet is an ensemble located in the left wing of the manor house accessible by outdoor stone stairs leading to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom, approximately 20m2 is comfortable and cosy. The bathroom sanitary equipment is vintage style, white, the tiles are umber. Central and individual electric heating. Les Perseides covers the 2nd floor accessible through the turret's spiral stone staircase. The main room, approximately 24m2, has a Queen Size bed. When lying down, one can admire the massive beams of the partly visible oak-wood frame work. The second room has twin beds. Both rooms have direct access to a large bathroom with sand coloured sanitary equipment and pale grey tiles. Central and individual electric heating. Top

GENERAL INFORMATION
The area offers many sites of interest such as La Roche Jagu: medieval castle (15th century), close to Pontrieux. The Tréguier Cathedral Cloister (15th century), Beauport Abbey (13th century) at Paimpol, the maritime cemetery of Ploubazlanec, plus many sea mills, small churches with ex-votos for sea-men, manor houses; all are of interest. At Lezardrieux, 6 km away, you can embark on old sailing boats and sail around Brehat Islands or up the Trieux estuary to La Roche Jagu and Pontrieux. This latter excursion can also be done by the newly restored steam-engine train from Paimpol to Pontrieux. To visit Bréhat Island take the launch for a 15min crossing from l'Arcouest. Once on land you can discover this exceptional island, its gardens, its flowers, its sea-coast, by renting a bicycle or simply by walking. At Perros Guirec, you may embark for the Seven Islands', sea-bird sanctuary with in particular its precious colony of 20 000 couples of gannets. At low tide you may see superb seals lazing on the rocks after feeding on fish at high tide. You may stroll, from Perros Guirec to the charming small port of Ploumna'ch along the Pink granite coasts, sentiers de douaniers. Apart from the extensive far-reaching sand beaches and its rocky coast with fishing opportunities, the area is rich in local gatherings and fairs: saint Yves's fete at Tréguier, Paimpol's Sailor's Song festival, Pontrieux's Fete des Petits Lavoirs as well as many local < Fest Noz > (Breton dances and songs ) in the nearby villages. Tennis courts at 3 to 6 km, a riding club at 6 km as well as a 18 hole golf coarse at 30 km are to be found. Top

COMFORT & SERVICES
Coat Gueno is located on an 8000m2 piece of land, boarded by trees, with lawns and flower beds. Access is through a private alley that leads to the parking spaces. The 11 x 6m swimming pool with its small diving board, heated at 27°C is open from June 20th to September 1st. It has taken the place of the former nicely sheltered and slightly elevated vegetable garden, as these gardens used to be. Pool furniture (arm chairs, deck chairs, mattresses, parasols, tables) is at hand. The area is entirely protected by abundant vegetation and free of all outside sight. Ideal place to rest and read, the lounge welcomes you to relax for a moment in a comfortable arm chair or sofa in front of the fire place. You may watch your favourite tv program, watch a dvd or listen to a cd. You may enjoy the many books on sea life and on Brittany. The American billiard is also well appreciated. In the evening you may dine at the Table d'hôtes on the long table looking on the fire place. The Breton room, lassical with its large stone fireplace., breakfast is served here on a large farm house table. Top
