Between the Ocean and the Mediterannean sea, at the foothills of the Pyrénées, Gers' airy and luminous landscapes spread out to the horizon. This is where the Eco-Lodges of Ensarnaut await you with its 65 hectares fully dedicated to natural preservation and its herd of ponies in semi-freedom.
What are Gîtes ? There is no real English word to describe what a Gîte is. You could call it a lodging, some say a self-catering cottage. We believe the word Gîte is best suited: A fully furnished, fully equipped house that you rent out in order to live in full autonomy. All you need to bring is some clothes and hygiene products. THE ROOMS
Laurel Side : Capacity: 4 persons (68m²/ 730 sq. Ft) - wheelchair accessible. The Gîte is built in the old barn that was renovated using healthy and authentic materials (raw clay, wood, terracotta) who give the room a serene and light athmosphere. By beeing adjoining to our our house and back to back with the other lodging, the Gîte preserves its whole independance and intimity. Facing South, nice view to the South and the East, all the way the the Pyrenées when they show themselves. Big inside courtyard with a agricultural shed at the West. The lodging is fully equipped for a comfortable stay.. Living room - kitchen - dining room ( 38 m² / 400 sq. Feet) with wood burning stove. French window opening on a private garden (80 m² / 860 sq feet) fitted with a barbecue and garden furniture. Mezzanine over the living room for two persons. (7. 5 m² / 80 sq feet). One room for two persons (16m² / 170 sq feet) with french windows to the garden. The 35 inches wide beds can be twinned if a double bed is needed. The sheets are provided. Open space with washbasin. The shower room is fitted with a washbasin too. Separated bathroom.
Ash-Tree Side : Capacity: 7 persons (100 m² / 1, 070 sq foot)- with mezzanine. The Gîte is built in the old barn that was renovated using healthy and authetic materials (raw clay, wood, terracotta) who give the room a serene and light athmosphere. By beeing adjoining to our house and back to back with the other lodging, the Gîte preserves its whole indenpendance and intimity. Facing North, nice view East and North and somptuous sunsets at the West. The lodging is fully equipped for a comfortable stay: Living room - kitchen - dining room ( 48m² / 500sq. Feet) with wood burning stove. French window opening on a private garden (600 m² / 6500 sq feet ) shadowed by great ash-trees and fitted with a big barbecue and garden furniture. Mezzanine over the living room for 2 persons. (7. 5 m² / 80 sq foot). One room for 2 persons (13 m² / 140 sq. Foot). One Room for 3 persons (20 m² / 215 sq. Foot) with french window to the garden. The 35 inches wide beds can be twinned if a double bed is needed. The sheets are provided. Open space with washbasin. Shower-room with 2 independant showers and 2 washbasins. 2 separated bathrooms. Dishwasher and washing machine.
The Barn : Merging our two gîtes, Laurel Side and Ash-Tree Side allows us to accomodate 11 guests and makes it partially wheelchair accessible. The Barn is built in the old barn that was renovated using healthy and authentic materials (raw clay, wood, terracotta) whitch gives the room a serene and light athmosphere. By a clever system of semi-fixed walls, the three layers of soundproofing and insulation that separate the two Gîtes can be removed to open the whole length of the habitat. In this confuguration, the barn is able to comfortably house 11 persons. Big living room - dining room- kitchen in the whole length of the barn (90 m²/ 1, 000 sq. Foot) , with 2 wood stoves. French windows on both north and south side, giving access to 2 private gardens with barbecues and garden furnitures. 2 mezzanines above the living room. (sleeping 2 x 2 persons) - 2 rooms for 2 persons, one of whitch has a french window. 1 room for 3 persons with french window. 3 independant showers, 3 separated bathrooms, 3 bathroom sinks, 2 washbasins. 1 dish-washer, 1washing machine. The 35 inches wide beds can be twinned if double bed are needed. The sheets are provided.

Organic cleaning products are provided in order to be compatible with the plant water filter.
Free access to the 65 hectares (160 acres) of the domain, reserved for our guests, with paths, trails, horse trails and a 3 acres lake.
Direct access to a network of over 200 km of marked trails, for superb mountain bike, foot or horse hikes. Top

Nos 17 poneys vivent en troupeau, en liberté sur les 65 ha de la propriété. Ils assurent, par leur défrichage progressif, le maintien de la biodiversité et des sites à orchidées sauvages. Parfaitement dressés, ils vous attendent pour des activités équestres de pleine nature, qui vous sont exclusivement réservées, et concoctées sur mesure.(enfants et adultes jusqu'à 75 kg)Ils vous feront découvrir les pistes cavalières du domaine, ou les 200 km de chemins balisés du Haut Astarac.
