We are english and passionate about our adopted region and we would like to share with you all that we have discovered ourselves. We are only 15 minutes from the fabulous wine region of Saint Emilion and 40 minutes to Bordeaux.
Our Guest House, which is constructed in golden stone dates from the 18c and has been restored with great care and with respect of the traditions of the region in order to make our bed and breakfast as welcoming as possible.
We are situated in a quiet wine growing village near to St Emilion in the Gironde where you can walk peacefully around the lanes or make a visit to our wine growing neighbours. If you prefer you can rest tranquilly in our house or in the park which is shady and surrounded by an old stone wall. There is also a large salon at the disposition of our guests and you can sit and read or take an aperitif in front of the big fireplace which is lit in the autumn and winter.
We are here to make your visit the most confortable and relaxing as possible.  Top

THE ROOMS
Each bedroom is spacious and luminous and are well decorated and furnished differently using antiques of the region. Each room has all the comfort you will expect. Every bedroom has its own modern bathroom.
Chambre West, 25m², has a terrace and view facing west over the park. There is a large bed of 160x200 with good quality bedding. This room has the ancient glass tiles which were used to keep the wine cool. Furnished with antiques of the region. Very good modern shower room.
Chambre South, 25m², this rooms has a view over the south courtyard. Antique bed of 140x190, old parquet flooring and with oak beams. Furnished with antiques of the region. Very good modern shower room.
Chambre Red, 45m², there is a lot of space in this room with high ceilings and beautiful exposed beams. Large bed of 180x200 and a seating area with a comfortable bed settee. Very good modern shower room.
Chambre Plaisance, 27m2, with a view west over the park and north over the ancient wood. Large bed of 160x200, very old beams; furnished with antiques and with a modern shower room. Very good modern shower room.
Chambre Ecureil 18m2, view over the park. Double bed of 140x190. Furnished with antiques and a four poster bed. Very good modern shower room.
The price of the rooms includes our generous breakfast with home made produce including jam and breakfast cakes. Top

THE TABLE
If you are staying with us we are able to offer you the possibility to take dinner at our table where we take pleasure in offering you the chance to taste some of the specialities of our region and of our kitchen.
We take pride in buying the best local produce from the best small producers and farmers in our region. There is a market in one of the towns or villages near by every day of the week so we are able to ensure that our ingredients are as fresh as possible.
Monday to Thursday we propose a menu at 25€ per person which includes aperitif, main course, dessert and coffee. It is also our pleasure to share with you, as our guests, the good wine of our wine growing neighbours - this is our gift to you.
Friday - Sunday we propose a gastronomique menu at 35€ per person. Our menus follow the seasons and we can cater for special dietary requirements if you let us know in advance. If you would like to have dinner the first night of your stay then please do let us know in advance. Top

While driving to Paris we stopped here for an evening. Our room was just lovely and quite large. All 5 of us were in 1 room with plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable. It was a very peaceful stay. We awoke rested and had a nice breakfast before continuing our journey to Versailles. The garden was beautiful and I would love to see it in summer. My husband and I just love the architecture of the home.

Our holiday in Bordeaux would not have been so enjoyable or comfortable had we not stayed at Beausejour. We were originally booked to stay there for just 3 nights then move to another chambre d'hote for 3 nights but were so happy we stayed put at Beausejour for all 6 nights! The dedication of Maureen and Jon in welcoming and looking after their guests is second to none and we feel we arrived as guests and left as friends. The room was extremely comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the setting perfect, with beautiful views.. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Beausejour
