Clos de la Barbanne is an exclusive Bed and Breakfast situated in the heart of the prestigious Saint-Emilion wine country. This elegant Farmhouse set in its own vineyard offers 4 spacious and luxurious rooms. Each of the rooms are lovingly restored. Curves of ancient wood and stone blend with the warmth of linen - Lounging areas - Each suite has its own terrace or private garden overlooking the Vineyard. Suite Madeleine is located on garden level and offers a walk-in shower and a King size bed. Suite Amabile is located on garden level and offers a cosy sitting area, a walk-in shower, a king-size bed or 2 twin beds. Suite Elanie is located on 2nd floor and offers a walk-in shower, a bathtub and a Queen size bed. Suite Paraschiva is located on 2nd floor and offers a walk-in shower a free standing bathtub, and a King size bed. Delicious and copious breakfast is served in the dining room or in the garden Weather permitting - Discover the fruit nectars, compote or mousseline, souffle or omelette, local and seasonal treats... All homemade ! We invite you to witness or even to participate in the numerous interventions in our vineyard, all year long. We are originally from Alsace and lived in many parts of the world. We settled in Montagne, Saint-Emilion, to fullfill the dream of composing our own wine. Early spring 2007, we acquired a vineyard of 2 ha on the Southern slopes of the Montagne-Parsac area facing Saint-Emilion. Clos de la Barbanne despite its small size, offers a mosaic of ages, soils and clones. Each step in the vineyard and the cellar is meant to unveil the soul of the soil, the grape and the wine. The wine matures and ages in French oak barrels up to 18 months. Concerto made out of 90 % Merlot and 10 % Cabernet, offers a niche production of 5. 000 bottles. Concerto, vin d'auteur, reveals a passionnate involvement in the search of excellence.
