Welcome to 'Manoir les Menestrels' our charming 18th Century property awaits.
Hanne and Horst look forward to welcoming you to their charming 18th Century Manor House.
The house has been newly restored to provide superb, comfortable accommodation in a peaceful setting surrounded by rolling countryside of vineyards interspersed with fairy tale Chateaux.
The property is situated in the small hamlet of Cabrerolles ( which loosely translates as the home of frolicking lambs ), 10 km north of Béziers with easy access from both the A75 and A9 motorways.
The Mediterranean coast is only a 30 minutes drive away. The house is set in its own grounds with a beautiful mature, establishes garden.  Top

THE ROOMS
Relax in our charming, well appointed rooms.
The 'Manoir les Menestrels', built in 1771, provides three well appointed guest bedrooms, one king-sized double bedroom and one twin bedroom in which we have restored the original wooden doors.
Both rooms benefit from views over the garden. The third charming guestroom has two single beds. Satellite television is available in the dining room. The house is centrally heated for your comfort in the winter season.
A full breakfast is served either in the private dining room or on the extensive garden terrace. Guests are welcome to relax and enjoy the gardens while listening to the wind in the garden's old 'pins maritimes'. Top

CULTURAL AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES
Two bicycles available to explore the surrounding countryside.
Golf courses available at Beziers, Montpellier and Lamalou les Bains
Both the gite and bed & breakfast are located about 10km from Beziers. Here you can visit the Arena, the cathedral, the theatre, the Canal du Midi with its 9 locks... In fact there are so many places to see which are full of history.
Beziers offers a wide range of interesting shopping and good restaurants, many of which are in the charming pedestrianised area of the town. There is a covered market and a colorful flower market is held every Friday on the Esplanade. The magnificent cathedral dominates the city and tells the sad tale of the death of several thousand Cathars in medieval times.
North of Beziers, there are deep river-valleys surrounded by high rocks with fantastic views over the countryside. This region in general offers many possibilities for everyone.
For those who like water: the mediterean offers surfing, sailing, water-skiing (20 min), and the rivers Orb and l'Hérault offer swimming, fishing, and canyoing. You can also hire a canal boat and go up the canal du midi.
Then there's Montpellier (40 min), with over two thousand five hundred years old history, and of course Carcassonne - the city of the cathars and the massive 'La Cite' fortress. Nearby, the many Cathar-castles are worth a trip too. Also worth visiting are Narbonne ( 30 min ), Pezenas, the city of Molière, (15 min ).
Within a 45 min drive you are in the mountains (the Cevennes) where you'll find lots of caves which you can visit as well. And lastly, for the gourmets: the bassin de Thau is known for its oysters and mussels. Top
