HOME
La Bichonnière, old farm full of charm built early xixth sitting in a park of 2ha, is located at the edge of Les Houches, first hamlet of Puisaye-Forterre in the center of the department of Yonne (89) at 12 kilometers from Auxerre and an hour and a half from Paris.
Family house for more than 50 years, invisible from the road, it has been transformed during this half-century to lead to a harbour of tranquility and peace restored in the respect of the old stones and materials.
Stephan and Julia will welcome you there in all conviviality; you will be able to appreciate the spaces placed at your disposal and will come to slacken alone or with family in the 5 refined rooms (2/3 persons) including 1 double (4/5 persons) with showers or privative bath and wc. The spaces at your disposal are decorated with simplicity, delicacy and elegance and will be able to enchant you, the large living room with its two fire places, the small salon for games and reading space, the music corner (piano and other instruments), the summer and winter dining rooms, the Internet room (wifi) , the large terrace and the beautiful park. In the enclosure of the estate you will find a shaded carpark and a covered garage.  Top

THE ROOMS
At La Bichonnière you will be accomodated on the first floor in 5 rooms including one family, all entirely non smoker and served by a vast corridor.
Le Grand Duc (the great horned owl) : Room with 3 beddings. A large bed of 160 and one of 90. Charm and pleasure with stone and wood tones this room will enchant you…
Ask your hosts to tell you the story of the great horned owl. In a mixture of wood and stone, you will relax yourselves in the mixed bath and shower-tub surrounded by a resting ground color mosaic. Private and separated wc.
La Chouette (the owl) : Its three beddings (160 and 90) will accomodate you and will make you spend one night in the arms of Morphée in all quietude. A 90cm bed keeping company to a splendid dressing-table. Roomy and mosaic shower water green… ralaxation guaranteed!

Les Ecureuils (the squirrels) : Family room being able to accomodate up to 5 persons. Two rooms separated by a corridor leading to a large water room with double washbasins and shower… with private wc, it includes two double beds of 2x80 and one of 90. The shower-room Ideal either for a big family or 2 couples not hesitating to share this space.
Le Chevreuil (the roe-deer) : Double romantic room, marine and white colour, looking on the garden. Roe-deers walk there from time to time but it is necessary to wake up very early to see them, which is not always the goal when one comes on our premises.
The small triangle window gives a brightness to this romantic shower- room where the toilet is included.
La Tourtourelle (the turtledove) : This splendid room on two levels will accomodate the lovebirds, obviously. Downstairs, a bed of 80 being used as a sofa or bed vis-a-vis a shower-room and private wc, on the first floor, a room to be discovered!!!

THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
La Bichonnière is located near many touristic sites such as Vézelay, the abbey of Pontigny, the castles of Guédélon, Saint Fargeau or Ratilly not far from a Park of Adventures, the Colette museum, Saint-Amand en Puisaye famous for its potteries or the park of Boutissaint with its wild animals, the Lake of Bourdon where bathing and other water sports await you after your escapade in cyclo-rail in the surroundings of Toucy, town of Pierre Larousse. You will also be able to go for pretty hikes in forest or an outing with barges on Yonne or the canal of Burgundy… without forgetting the visit of the cellars and villages of St Bris, Irancy or Chablis located at a maximum of 30 kilometers from your home.
