Welcome at home!
In a lovely and pleasant property, nearby well-known tourist sites (Giverny, Thoiry, Versailles...), not so far from places of many activities (such as riding, golf, fishing, rowing, tennis, walk and hike, and so on...) and 35/40 minutes from Paris, we invite you to savour a calm and serene haven of peace, hidden in forest.
Out of sound and sight, you will enjoy an open view on valley from a spacious and comfortable residence overhanging a charming village run trough by a beautiful small river. The comfort and the quietness of bedrooms with all modern conveniences will assure you the rest that you care for. The living room and sitting room are opened to you as well as the playroom and the library. Outside you will enjoy 3 terraces to lounge as your pleases, surrounded by 7500 square meters grounds under the view of squirrels and roe deer.

THE ROOMS
We have 3 bedrooms listed 3 ears by Gîtes de France network. The careful and tasteful decoration will delight you. Two of them have a private bathroom and the third one has a large shower-room. Each of them has W. C., T. V., refrigerator and, on request, microwave oven. Room Bamboos is situated on the ground floor; it is equipped with 2 large plate glass windows, which open onto the grounds where, close to that room, a set garden furniture allows you to relax. The rooms Gentian (22m2) and Fuchsia (17m2) are situated on the first floor. They are air-conditioned and can accommodate 4 and 3 persons respectively. Double beds are in 1, 60m to 1, 80m in widths. THE TABLE
The breakfast is copious but, unfortunately, we do not serve lunch nor dinner. However, you will can enjoy the food of the neighbouring restaurants that we will recommend to you. Top

GENERAL INFORMATION
Our bed and breakfast is open all the year. Bookings are binding after we have received a deposit, 25% of the stay price, with the contract Gîtes de France that our guests have to send back signed. We welcome our guests from 4 o'clock (p. M.) to 7 o'clock (p. M.) All the price of stay is to be paid when we hand in the keys. We serve up breakfast from 7h30 (a. M.) to 10h30 (a. M.) The last day of stay, room is to be cleared before 12 o'clock (a. M.). If any guest got some problems to move by car, we would have the pleasure to help him to go to station or restaurant, for instance.
For the comfort of our guests and because security, it is forbidden to smoke inside home. However it is possible to smoke outside but we thank our guests for not leaving cigarette butts about. So we provide ashtrays on request. At last, pets are not allowed. Top

OUR AREAS OF INTEREST
Although we have been living for many years in the Paris area, we always keep in our heart the bright sun of our Provence with all the scents of lavender, thyme and rosemary. We like to share that sun through our relationship with our guests. Madam has a passion for History and old buildings and she is qualified in that field. She knows the beauties and the sights of the region and how to make you enjoy them. Her taste for music is matched only by her taste for reading. Mr was pilot in the French Air Force. He likes to philosophise and he is interested in many things. Moreover, he is a music and sport lover and a tiny bit poet. He is fond of travelling and is always ready to tell you a thousand of adventures. Brigitte and José have brought up 5 children and are now grandparents of 12 grandchildren. Although they travelled through the world in many countries and known a plenty of unforgettable eventful journeys, they still keep the taste of adventure. Top

COMFORT & SERVICES
In order to make your stay the most pleasant and delightful, we have done our best to provide you with all comfortable everything in detail.
When you arrive, you park your car on a private parking inside the property. You can admire the grounds, with lights at night, while walking up to the residence. All the air of the house is purified with a special device. Through larges plate glass windows you can enjoy a wonderful and relaxing view of the garden. You can dream in a comfortable armchair by the fireplace in a large living room; you can also sprawl in the sitting room or isolate yourself in the library. The music lovers will can, as they like, play a miniature grand piano. To relax yourself, you can play several games in the playroom, as baby foot, billiards, or darts game. Other special games are available for children. The air conditioning in the bedrooms allows you to recover during the hot summer days. Tourist and cultural brochures are at your disposal with all the suitable explanations that we will have the pleasure to give you. The wifi for P. C. Users is free.
On the morning, you will enjoy a copious breakfast, either in the dining room or outside while the rays of the rising sun are stroking you.
In front of the grounds, three terraces tempt you to lounge among trees and flowers. Squirrels will jump here and there in the trees, while the roe deer will spy you from a distance. Those who are curious will can nose aroud in the neighbouring woods, while those who want to exert themselves will let off steam on the 300 square metres playing field fenced off with wire netting, inside the property... THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
Our property, nestled in forest, overhangs a lovely little village of 600 inhabitants. A little river, La Vaucouleurs, runs through it. Out of sight and song, you enjoy an unrestricted view of the valley from our residence which is built against hill. Very verdant and slightly hilly, that little place of Ile de France, near to a little pond, is just 50 km from Paris, 35 km from Versailles and 15 km from Normandie. Although we are in countryside, we can reach the station or a big industrial estate within 15 minutes and we are only 5 minutes from motorway. In the countryside, of course, but just a stone's throw from the town! Top

CULTURAL AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES
As owners, we provide you with two kinds of activities. On the one hand, you can enjoy all those you will find in our playroom: Billiards, Baby-foot, darts and games for children. In the other hand, you also can enjoy the surroundings by walk, hike or let off stream on the playing field of our property. At last, on one of our terraces a table tennis is at the disposal of our guests.
Moreover we will be pleased to inform you about the neighbouring activities such as golf, tennis, riding, swimming pool, ice rink, rowing and so on... Top

The climate of the region is temperate. The green sceneries show some humidity of that area, but very nice sunny days light up that magnificent countryside in spring time, during summer time and often when autumn is beginning. MAP & DIRECTIONS
On the motorway A 13, between Paris and Rouen, Take exit 11 Mantes Est. From 100 m to 150 m after, you will reach traffic lights. Coming from Paris, keep left all the way to the roundabout (about 350 m after traffic lights) direction Houdan. Before reaching it, you will cross under the motorway after a sharp bend on your left. Coming from Rouen, drive to the roundabout, about 50m after the traffic lights. In the two cases, turn off the roundabout to Houdan, Thoiry (D983). Keep this destination for about 2, 5 Km as far as the side road where you will turn left direction Auffreville-Brasseuil. About 350 m, after having crossed a little river, you will pass by a little chapel on your left (St Barthélémy). Then, about 100 m further, turn left rue des Clauselais by a sharp bend on your left. Drive about 80m and climb the steep way on your right (Chemin Ste Jeanne d'Arc). At the top, turn right to the parking about 40 m further.
