Located in the heart of the Forest of Rambouillet, in a region with many natural and artistic treasures, the Domaine des Basses Masures offers two great houses - and two cottages - for a charming stay ("green", sporting or cultural) ... 50 kms from Paris. The rooms are located in the main house and furnished with charm and simplicity. In Goya The adjoining bathroom is large and has a large bathtub. In Valentino's get you to the television and fireplace. Your breakfast will be served in the living room of the house or in the garden, at your convenience. Cottage: This cottage furnished with simplicity, it can comfortably accommodate 5/6 people because it includes two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, a living room with a sofa bed and a fireplace. The kitchen-dining room, where one has a panoramic view of the surrounding nature, is fully equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, ceramic hob, oven and fridge). You can - if you want to enjoy fresh air from the bottom, sunshine and greenery -take your meals in the garden. We also offer another cottage for 2: The Masurette. It includes a bedroom with a double bed, a kitchen and a bathroom.

Rambouillet forest or forest of Yveline, located in the south of the Yvelines department is a major forests of Île-de-France. This is a wooded area of 200 km², of which 14, 550 ha of forest, which extends the territory of 29 municipalities. The settlement consists mainly of oaks, 68%, and softwood (pine and Corsican pine) to 25%. This massive includes ponds, rocky areas, stretches of sand, valleys and waterfalls. Part of the forest is in the natural park of the high valley of Chevreuse.
Rambouillet forest was once part of a larger whole, the "forest of Yveline" a single large forest that extended beyond the borders of the current state, it stretched over a vast area of Paris Meudon through the valley of Chevreuse, Dourdan and Rambouillet2. After clearing the Middle Ages, there remains only the forests disjoint. Rambouillet forest, a relic of this vast, gradually fitted for royal hunts of the sixteenth to the eighteenth. From this period dates the creation of the road network in a star, the creation of a continuum and planting of forests.
