HOME
Notre maison d’hôte est l’ancien presbytère du village de Bugarach. Vieille bâtisse de charme et d’authenticité elle est située au centre du village. Récemment rénové, adossée à l’église, sa construction remonte à 1686. Murs en pierre de taille, boiseries sculptées et autres détails d’origine rappellent cette époque. Le village est situé au pied du Pic de Bugarach, plus haut sommet des corbières (1230 m) . C’est le coeur du Pays cathare et pour vous ce sera une base idéale pour découvrir ses multiples richesses : Rennes le château et son trésor, gorges de Galamus, thermes de Rennes les Bains, et nombre de châteaux et vestiges historiques tels, Puivert, Arques, Puilaurens, Queribus, Peyrepertuse... Ect.
Cette région offre également toute l’année une nature superbe, à sillonner à pied, à cheval ou en vélo.  Top

THE ROOMS
We have four large bedrooms within the main house and also a garden apartment. Each room has its own bathroom and toilet and can accommodate from single occupancy to families. The dining room can be used for meals and drinks, should the weather prevent these from being served in the secluded garden. It can also be used for reading, playing board games, or chatting by the fire. Top

THE TABLE
We are able to serve you an evening meal consisting of four courses, so if it suits you to take advantage of eating on the premises, you can enjoy the extremely varied character of the French kitchen together with the wines of Corbieres and Roussillon. The dishes are mainly regional and of Mediterranean influence, fresh each day and carefully prepared. The majority of the products used are purchased from local farmers and wherever possible the vegetables are grown in our own garden. For a large proportion of the year we are able to serve meals in the garden. Top

THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
Bugarach and its surroundings are rich in historical heritage with an abundance of natural beauty. The stunning countryside is full of the flora and fauna associated with the south of France and the Pyrenees. The area ideally lends itself to walking, cycling and excursions of varying length and difficulty, to suit all abilities, allowing the natural beauty to be experienced first hand. This is the land of The Cathars and the remains of their fortifications can be visited and admired. Your stay in this area will be an experience to be remembered but with so much to see, we encourage you to talk to us about suggested itineraries to suit your interests and the time you have available to stay with us.
