HOME
The house is in the little village of Villeseque in the Corbières region of the foothills of the Pyrenees.
Villeseque is situated between the sea and the mountains, on the old merchants' route, Mercadia, which linked Narbonne with Spain in the xii thC.
At the heart of this Valley of Paradise, surrounded by the hills covered in pine forest and vineyards, set back from the bustle of the coast, Villesèque is a wine-growers' village of 350 inhabitants on the route of vineyards, Cathar castles and medieval abbeys.
The village was built around the parish church dedicated to Saint André which still has its roman pillars and capitals.  Top

THE ROOMS
The house is just outside the ancient village of Villesèque des Corbières, in an enclosed 'domain' with large garden.
We have two lovely rooms with views of the Hermitage of Mount St. Victor and the surrounding hills.
the copious breakfasts are served either in the dining room of the house or on the shady terrace.
Room Roses : Large double bedroom with Italian bed, antique furniture decorated by a local artist. The bathroom has a shower and wc. Approx. 35 sq m. A 'lounge corner', and a terrace with view of the vineyards, the hills and the garden, where you can relax and read or simply listen to the song of the cicadas.
Room Coquelicot : Large double bedroom with four-poster bed and 'lounge corner'. Approx 35 sq m. The bathroom has a shower. The wc is separate. With a small terrace and a lovely view from the terrace over the large garden and the pine forested hills.
the gîtes (classified 4 stars by Gites de France) are just outside the ancient village of Villesèque des Corbières, with views of the Hermitage of Mount St. Victor and the surrounding hills. Top
