La Vigne Rousse is situated in Ferrals-les-Corbières, a small vintner's village halfway between Carcassonne (35 km) and Narbonne (30 km), 5 km south of Lézignan-Corbières, between mountains and sea, close to innumerable historical sites, and at the same time in a quiet vintner's village.
It has been refurbished with love and respect for the charm and the soul of the house.

THE ROOMS
All rooms have very comfortable en suite bathrooms. If you travel with a baby we’ll gladly supply a cot and microwave in your room.
Fitness equipment and bikes are at your disposal.
breakfast and optional evening dinner is served in the dining room or the garden.
In the main building you can choose Grenache, a two person suite with entry hall, bedroom and bathroom with modern bath and two antique washstands. Doubtlessly you will enjoy the mahogany furniture and the intimacy of an old-time three-quarter bed.
You might opt for Carignan, a romantic luxury room for two with a 2m by 2m bed, corner salon and a surprising bathroom with bath and twin washstands. This room as well is fitted with antique furniture.
Syrah is a suite comprising a bedroom (original furniture; 1. 4m by 2m bed), drawing room and bathroom featuring a king-size shower. There is also a comfortable couch which may sleep two grown-ups (1. 6m by 2m bed) and which turns this suite into an agreeable family room.
Cinsault is a comfortable room for two (1. 8m by 2m bed, which can be arranged as twin beds) with a spacious corner salon for reading and writing, and en suite bathroom with bath.
Bourboulenc is a charming room for two with two old-time three-quarter beds. Your private bathroom with bath is right next door.
The professional fitness equipment will allow you to work off the holiday pounds you may gain during your stay with us.
Families or people travelling together can combine any number of rooms to suit their needs. We shall be delighted to help you find a tailored solution to any request you may have. For larger companies, for instance, we can offer an extra two guest rooms without bathroom. Top

THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
La Vigne Rousse is situated in a typical vintners’ village of southern France. Among its 1400 inhabitants are a baker, a greengrocer-cum-butcher, a bar, a café-restaurant and an octogenarian beekeeper.

CULTURAL AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES
One of our spacious and comfortable rooms and family suites can be your starting point to discover all the natural and cultural beauties that surround us.
- There is the Mediterranean with its miles and miles of child-friendly beaches and its water sports centres.
- There are vast beach lakes, rugged mountain chains, peaceful walks,
- delicious wine routes,
- the famous cathar strongholds (Quéribus, Peyrepertuse, Lastours, Montségur, Puilaurens, Termes),
- abbeys of international renown (Fontfroide, Lagrasse),
- the Canal du Midi, elegant cities and ravishing nature,
- museums, exhibitions, festivals and concerts.
The majestic Canigou, snow-capped even in summer sometimes, overlooks it all.
At the village cooperative as well as in several independent wineries you can sample the yield of the surrounding vineyards.
If you feel like taking in a film, there is the local cinema, which offers recent productions.
The village sports grounds include tennis courts, a football field and – of course! - a boulodrome.
There is a fishpond and the river Orbieu for the angler’s delight. The Orbieu winds its way through Ferrals, neatly cutting the village in two halves. The riverside invites you for a stroll, a picnic, a swim or a sunbath. If you leave La Vigne Rousse by the stables, a back alley leads you straight into the vineyards.
On foot or with one of the guest bicycles you can roam the countryside on its countless paved farmers’ roads. You will only encounter nature in all its splendour, and maybe the odd kindred spirit or a vintner. At the front door begins a signposted 10 miles’ walk which takes you to the most enchanting views of Ferrals. Top
