Nadia et François welcome you to their home a house of character dating from the xviith century.

le Clos des Ocres A guesthouse full of charm
The narrow lane wanders up between the stones warmed by the sun. After a few steps you find yourself in this village house with its terrace full of plants and flowers, overlooking the Château de saint-siffret. Two bedrooms provide a haven for guests looking for a quiet hideaway in the heart of this charming little village in the gard.
Whitewashed vaulted ceilings, shades of red in the lower bedroom, pastel colours in the one upstairs - everything blends perfectly.
Having lived in the Bordeaux region, Nadia et François brunel longed for the varied and shimmering colours and smells of nature.
When they discovered saint-siffret and this house that appeared to be waiting for them, they planted their belongings in this part of South where the sun shines for more than 300 days a year.
Adopted by Janine, who knows all there is to know about the region, they are now familiar with evrey corner of this medieval village with its ochre stones, glowing red in the setting sun.
One on the biggest Provençal market is to be found at Uzès every Saturday morning. François is ready to drive his guests who love markets there so that they do not have the misery of looking for a parking spot on this busy day. In the evening, just down from the house, the Authentic restaurant offers delightful meals resonant with the flavours of the Midi.  Top

THE ROOMS
There are 2 large bedrooms both with en suite bathroom ( shower ) and private toilet.
'Terre de Sienne' : A beautifully decorated double room, full of Provençal character, in which the walls are coloured with natural ochres from the village of Roussillon located in the region of Vaucluse. Air conditioning is installed.
'Ocre Rouge' : With its semicircular stone vaulting this room oozes character.
Connecting with it, is a vaulted morning room equipped with a single bed for an extra person.
Both bedrooms provide comfort and tranquillity.
breakfast can usually be taken on the terrace, which enjoys charming views over the church and “ La Commanderie “ castle.
The ground floor offers a comfortable living room, large dining room with a striking Provençal fireplace and an impressive chandelier.
Nadia's main hobby is painting on china, mosaïcs, paint effects on walls, painted furniture,
lots of which are reflected in the decorations in ' Le Clos des ocres '. Top

From the North, take the motorway Lyon==> Marseille ( A7/E15). At orange, follow motorway A9/E15. Exit Number 23 : remoulins. Then direction ales-uzes ( road D981) . 4km before uzes you take the road on the right signpostedto saint-maximin-saint siffret. The Clos des Ocres is clearly signposted as soon as you enter St siffret. You can park your car in the small square just across from the church and the townhall opposite the restaurant L' Authentic
